“From Chaos to Clarity: How I Changed My Life with Tiny Habits”
This is the first article I’ve ever written. I wrote it by hand and kept it raw, real, and honest — without editing or filters. It’s a story of how I took control of my life through small changes.
If you’re stuck or confused, I hope this helps you take your first step.
I am a student of first year BTech. A year ago my life was so jumbled up. It was all a huge mess. I do not want to do something productive, all I want was to just chill, scroll, watch movies, webseries.
In this article I will telling what key steps I take to improve my daily habits and started doing productive work.
In the last year I was preparing for a exam (Basically it was my drop year) which is given by lakhs of students from all over India and so I, my aim was to crack that exam.
But all I do was just attend class & not practice @ home. All I do was just tell my friends about my goals, I never worked on them. That hardly that I could do. As the result came, it came less than my expectations which led me a huge setback as it was also not much convincing which had broken me apart.
Now after the results there is a 3–4 months of free time btw the admissions, the habits which I started during this time changed my life drastically.
Now what are these habits & what things I did to make that habits to be the consistent part of life is how I managed to figure out all things.
There is a quote which says:
“The best part to plant a tree was 20 years ago & the second best time is now.”
During this free time, instead I was just chilling & doing nothing. But as soon as the result came I felt something — this not me. Why I have to do something with life and now I just started with a little change of what things I have been watching coz what you see is what lead to your thoughts and now your thoughts are what led to your behaviour and actions.
It might look to you in starting that just by changing what you see can not lead that huge change but in reality it does. As my actions change I started reading self help books, waking up early, doing exercise — that’s how you start.
Starting a habit can be easy but maintaining it over a long period of time and being consistent is the hard part. But how one can be consistent?
By making those habits a part of your life.
By relating it with a good thing that u are likely to do.
By saying I will do this thing ie(read book) just after doing the thing you like.
By maintaining a streak. Even though u that thing for 2 minutes, do it.
Over a time, by doing it 2 min repeatedly you will start investing your time in that.
---
Now the thing I want you to do to change your life is to write the things which you want to do and track the record of it — and in weeks or months — you will start noticing changes which will eventually lead you to your desired future goals.
